| Florbloc, for block and beam suspended floors, is designed to be used with reinforced concrete floor beams. This provides an ideal substrate for finishes, with the added advantage of built-in thermal insulation of the ground floor. Due to the low weight of the block, the deadweight of the floor is reduced significantly, which allows savings in the supporting structure and foundations. This type of floor has been specified in a range of applications, from multi-storey car parks, stores and hotels, to office buildings and hospitals. Where high point loadings are anticipated such as in domestic garages, a reinforced structural topping must be used to replace the screed. |
