Glass - glass PV laminates can replace ordinary glass in roofs, skylights and facades. PV glazing can be used to directly replace glass in any part of a building. Projects can be very striking in appearance and unlike other PV systems can be seen from within the building. Ideal for public areas such as entrance halls, atria, walkways, visitor centres, where a small array can make a very big impact on the interior of the building.

A high degree of control is available in the design of these bespoke products - cell layout and spacing (and light transmission) is fully variable. As a bespoke product, it is more expensive than systems based on standard PV modules and is only generally of interest in commercial or high value projects.
