Spectraroof® TPE Roof Engineering is a unique concept developed using a new generation of TPE polymer membranes, accessories, detailing units, fixings and adhesives, to create a total waterproofing package. Spectraroof® systems are environmentally friendly, rapidly and safely installed, and give guaranteed long term waterproofing performance. Spectraplan TPE roofing membranes have options suitable for mechanically fixing, fully or partially bonding in adhesive or for use on ballasted/roof garden projects. The TPE used to make the Spectraplan membranes is based on polyethylene using a special catalyst and process, which produces a blend of polyethylene and other polymers that behave as a thermoplastic elastomer. It is inherently flexible and rubbery at normal service temperatures and does not need separate plasticisers to achieve these properties (like PVC).
